What Can I Do To Help?
The first step in helping the children of The Congo is education. We need to become educated on what is happening there. We need to recognize that there is a problem, a problem which needs a lot of help. Aside from the crime of The Congo, children are dying by the dozens everyday from sickness caused by unhealthy living conditions and disease. Children are living lives without an education, which means they will make less than enough money as an adult, which it turn means their children will live the same life of poverty and struggle that they did. This is an ongoing cycle that needs to be stopped.
Children of The Congo are growing up everyday without their parents, either because they have been killed by disease and crime, or they have been displaced as a result of the war. For those children that do still have parents out there, it is crucial that we reunite those families. The importance of children having their parents in their lives is detrimental to their success and well being.

There are many great charities and funds set up to help the children of the Congo financially. Although money isn't going to solve this problem, it does help. These children need food to settle their malnutrition, nets to protect themselves for bugs carrying disease, vaccines, and school supplies. Every penny helps. Although you are just one person, one person can make the difference. Hearing the stories of these families and children has certainly humbled my heart and gave me the final push to help, has it pushed you?
